Howth Cliff Walk
Howth Cliff Walk
Howth Cliff Walk, Howth is ideal to escape the chaos of Dublin, I started here at Balscadden Road, from here we can walk to Baily Lighthouse. this is a great place to start but the carpark is small and can get very busy especially on weekends.

Just outside Dublin the small fishing port of Howth is a breath of fresh air, accessible by Train and Bus, and if cliff walks are your thing no better place. Howth has specular walks with wonderful views of Dublin Bay.

Ireland is one of the most majestic and beautiful nations in the world, and the vibrant, stunning surroundings she offers are one of the key reasons behind this. Every year thousands of tourists flock to Ireland to explore its sprawling coastline, rolling hills, and amazing cultural heritage. One of the most impressive examples of this is the Howth Cliff Walk, just north of Dublin, which remains one of Ireland’s most wonderful and scenic places.

Stunning Cliff Walk
The main appeal of Howth is its stunning cliff walk, which ranks as one of the best in Dublin, and maybe even in Ireland as a whole! With miles of incredible coastline, winding coastal paths, and the crashing waves in the distance, this is a lovely scenic and breathtaking walk. Replete with gorgeous views, and four different versions of this amazing walk. All four differ in length and difficulty, and this makes it perfect for individuals, couples, or groups. The longest walk is around 3 hours and begins in Howth village, whilst the shortest is around 1.5 hours and a much shorter fifth walk.

Travelling to places that have some kind of connection or significance is always a great place to start, and the Howth Cliff Walk is one to add to this list. This is a walk with royal connections, as Prince William and Kate Middleton once visited the area, and spent their second day climbing Howth Summit to take in some of the exquisite views of rural Ireland. Visitors to Howth, and those looking to take part in the walk will know they have walked in the footsteps of royalty, and this presents quite the appeal for many people. The fact that the Royals have visited the area is one of the things that makes it so appealing to those visiting and adds a little more appeal and prestige to the village and the walk.

This is a cliff walk so great care is needed, I don’t recommend this walk if you have small children or unsteady on foot, but it sports wonderful views.
