This is Irelands working class hero, Philip Parris Lynott was a bassist, singer and songwriter. Phil Lynott sang alongside Gary Moore while playing in Skid Row which was one of many bands he fronted. Lynott learned to play base and in 1969 Thin Lizzy was created. Lizzy’s recorded the traditional song ‘’Whiskey in the Jar’’ becoming a hit and more success would follow. Lynott was born in England’s West Midlands but moved and grew up in Dublin. In recent years his mother Philomena died but always had time to talk about him to his fanbase if approached. Lynott was always close to his mother so hopefully are together again.
